The SFMTA proposes the following between Golden Gate Avenue and Geary Street, as part of the Jones Street Quick-Build Project (proposed project): (1) Permanently continue pedestrian safety improvements to reduce traffic speed along Jones Street between Geary Street and Turk Street (constructed between August 2020 and August 2021) that were implemented on a temporary basis as part of the SFMTA Department Operations Center (DOC) COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Street Changes Program issued under Planning Case number 2020-006458ENV; and (2) Permanently implement additional pedestrian safety improvements on Jones Street between Ellis Street and Golden Gate Avenue.
